REFLECTION -  MONDAY, JULY 11, 2016

Yesterday students visually illustrated their ideas about conflict, violence and peace. Some students have very high art skills, while others seemed reluctant to draw as they were concerned about their skill levels. However, even they were encouraged to make stick figure sketches to illustrate their ideas, which were diverse and also deep.

I realized that we would need to give the students more time to make art than what was initially planned in the lesson plans. This would mean making adjustments in the time and allowing them full two days for their conceptualization and artwork creation on their chosen topic of conflict transformation.

  1. thanks for this reflection - I wonder what you (and other facilitators) think about the time we have allotted for the daily GALACTIC workshop. Is 90 minutes too much time? Too little?
